Welcome to the crazy world of ER nursing. The stories that come out of the ER can make you laugh, make you cry, and make you pissed. Sometimes all at the same time. ER RN's are a special breed and I do believe we all lean a little bit toward the insane side of reality. Come in, kick up your feet, and prepare to be astounded by what your fellow humans do.
I'm new to your blog but my first thought was...Oh yes!!! yes yes yes...write and be honest VERY VERY honest, I'll do the same!...but I'm a little to cynical to be objective and now that I read about the project it's supported to be encouraging...I'm not that good of a writer, but maybe you can come up with something encouraging, supportive and honest?
I would be so excited to get this kind of a letter. I actually attempted to have a friend write a similar letter for the project... I won't jade you with the perspective I requested, but I would love to receive something from you. Thanks.
Be honest, but keep the language nice. In other words, keep the four letter words out. Some of us have recently found ourselves finding it over-used and wishing that folks could express their frustration with humanity's stupidity in creative ways. I was looking forward to reading your blog, but decided it was just too much. A well-placed damn here and there is okay (as a Bible college professor of mine used to say), but too often and it gets old.
