I want to move back. I want to move back and spend the rest of my life in that gorgeous, beautiful state. I lived in Sitka during my formative years and I still call it home.
Therefore, I've been perusing every hospital website in the great State of Alaska over the last week or so. Choices, choices, choices.
How about suggestions?

Sitka, huh. I can't say as I'd go back to live there. I would go back as a travel nurse, though... 13 weeks & off to somewhere different.
From what I hear SCH is now mostly long-term rehab-type stuff. I'm not sure how SEARHC fits into it, but I'm sure overall medical care has declined in the past 12 years since I left.
I lived in Wrangell and Juneau...I miss it too! I have been in the "states" for 5 years.
I don't know RevMedic - I've heard great things about SCH. Would be interesting to see....
I can only imagine how amazing it must have been to work as an ER nurse in Alaska. I really hope you get to go back and enjoy yourself.
Did you find your dream gig in Alaska? Did you check out the career center on ENA's website and other nursing association's?
we live in fairbanks now and we love it. no idea on your choices but I know why you want to come back.
I have not made my way back north as of yet. I have a timeline - a few years and I hope to get there. We shall see what the Good Lord has planned for me!
