Welcome to the crazy world of ER nursing. The stories that come out of the ER can make you laugh, make you cry, and make you pissed. Sometimes all at the same time. ER RN's are a special breed and I do believe we all lean a little bit toward the insane side of reality. Come in, kick up your feet, and prepare to be astounded by what your fellow humans do.

At class. I'm cracking up listening to the med students sitting beside me discussing how much they know. I'm also getting an ear full about how much nurses suck. they obviously don't know as much as they think they do or they'd know nurses will save their asses through med school and fix their mistakes. Oh preach on dear med students. Preach on.

You know, the first time I looked at this post, I didn't realize that was a half a head sitting there. Very interesting photo (and the distance makes it better).
I love your blog. :) I hope someone reminds me of this when I'm (hopefully) in med school, so I don't make such an ass of myself.
I want to go to school for RN Do you think its a good choice in you behalf i love helping people im a massage therapist but i want to learn more
Gaah! Idiots. I apologise on behalf of my fellow med students - some of us respect nurses!
A nursing career is worth it - only because one degree gives you so many options. Hospital nurse, clinic nurse, home nurse, case manager, etc. You could even tie your MT career with a medical career and work in a MediSpa environment (depending on state regs, etc.)
But beware - you may become old and cynical like the rest of us!
My goodness! I'm sitting here in Pittsburgh in my third year of residency ... when I'm surprised to see my alma mater.
To the theme of the post, if you had rotated your camera 180 degrees, you'd have caught the steps with the quote "The greatest obstacle to discovery is the illusion of knowledge." ;)
